On Wednesday, October 4, 2023, the Participatory Opera celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Maria Callas and presents a unique Opera musical experience for those who want to experience opera for the first time.

What is opera? What are her secrets? Can an uninitiated really sing an aria with a lyricist in a few minutes?

In the era of Mozart and Verdi, the respective pop stars were the protagonists of the opera, while the favorite melodies that one heard in his daily life were none other than today's arias that now belong to the field of classical music.

"Maria Callas is perhaps the most important Greek woman at an international level after El Greco and the great tragic poets, as she renewed Opera in the post-war world, giving it new life by awakening in the works of the great bel canto composers that element that inspired them to compose, i.e. the ancient drama. The Participatory Opera welcomes the public in the warm auditorium to get to know this great artist through her work but also by singing the most popular arias she performed."
