Release Athens 2023 welcomes two well-known bands of the metal scene, Amon Amarth and Kreator, on Wednesday, June 28, at Nerou Square. Viking metal representatives and thrash's most consistent group, respectively, promise the most important night of hard sound for this summer.

Amon Amarth formed in Tumba, Sweden, in 1992, and during these three decades have carved a unique path, filled with the magical images of Viking history and culture.

The representatives of German metal, Kreator, are currently in one of the most successful periods of their incomparable career. Staying true to their values ​​and ignoring the current trends of hard sound, they managed to stay in the forefront of thrash metal and thanks to the vision and determination of their leader, Miland "Mille" Petrozza, they continued to release records that still leave an era.

They are joined by Heaven Shall Burn. The band was formed in 1995, in Saalfeld, Germany. To date, they have released a total of nine records and continue an admirable run that has led to a creative peak, highlighted by their most recent record, "Of Truth and Sacrifice".
