Do you like being in the middle of things? You leave your hotel and find everything you need right outside the door - in all kinds and different forms. A huge variety of shops and services like banks, restaurants, snack bars and cafes. And of course, the most important sights and museums of Athens are almost all within walking distance.
Staying in hotels in central Athens can be very exciting. In and around the popular central districts there are numerous beds at various prices. A little cheaper you can stay in the area around Omonoia Square and the districts of Exarcheia and Metaxourgeio. Then the following rule applies. Everything that goes from there also towards Syntagma Square, the old town districts and the prestigious Kolonaki district will be more expensive.
