At the Athens’ old-town districts of Monastiraki, Plaka and Psiri everything is a bit quieter. The old town of Athens is of course a strong visitor magnet. But due to the fact that in the most areas of Plaka there are hardly any cars here, it seems to be village-like.
In the labyrinth-like Plaka streets you might find a quiet place by turning twice - far away from the beaten track. The districts offer lot of very charming accommodations in beautiful renovated neoclassical mansions.
