OTHER NEOCLASSICAL BUILDINGS

The capital is full of neoclassical buildings - some that are located on central streets of the city (Panepistimiou, Patision, and Syngrou) and some that are hidden on smaller streets.
Among them, the Military Hospital (Makrygianni and Dionysiou Areopagitou), one of the first neoclassical buildings of Athens, work of Wilhelm von Weiler, architect and painter, who was serving as captain in the corps engineers of the Bavarian army and came to Greece with King Otto. In the "Acropolis" Metro Station is a wall mural that is a watercolor enlargement of the mentioned building, which is currently housing the Acropolis Research Center.
In an effort to cover the subject, we definitely have to mention Metsovion Polytechnic and Arsakeio (where the Council of State is housed).
