SHOPPING IN ATHENS

Like all major metropolitan areas, the City of Athens has much to offer visitors in the way of shopping.

The downtown area (around Ermou Street) hosts a few large shopping centers but mainly keeps visitors busy with its quaint shops in the tourist areas and boutiques in certain upper class sections.

Go north for the most Malls and south for more boutiques. In general, Athens will have whatever it is you are looking for.

Shops open hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are from 09:00 - 15:00 and 17:00 - 21:00. Department stores are open non-stop from 09:00 - 21:00. Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays from 09:00 - 17:00 and 09:00 - 18:00 for Department stores.
