In the concert spotlight these days is the Athens String Quartet, which has delivered some of the most charming pages in the history of chamber music concerts. On Thursday, June 8, the popular Scheme of the State Orchestra of Athens returns to the Philological Association "Parnassos".

The well-known musicians Apollon Grammatikopoulos (violin), Panagiotis Tziotis (violin), Angela Giannakis (viola), Isidoros Sideris (cello) with this concert complete the grand project of presenting Beethoven's 16 quartets. His Eighth Quartet, also known as "Razumovsky", which was commissioned by the Russian ambassador Count Andrea Razumovsky, is performed. Also on the program, the first movement of Franz Schubert's 12th string quartet, a work that was destined to remain unfinished. The evening closes with Mozart's 19th String Quartet, the last of the six quartets the composer dedicated to Joseph Haydn.
