There's always a special bond between twins, and sisters Ferhan and Ferzan Oder bring that bond to the musical forefront. Two independent and dynamic pianists who together create a new musical identity. For the finale, the piano duo joins distinguished percussionist Dimitris Desyllas in a rendition of Ravel's Bolero that promises to be thrilling.
Liszt in the center
Groundbreaking composer, transcendent pianist – the greatest of his time, if not in the entire history of music – pioneering creator, great conductor, "inventor" of the solo recital as we know it today, unstinting supporter and sincere friend of all the leading composers of the time his, Franz Liszt (1811-1886) is a perfectly fitting subject for this year's two days dedicated to the piano. Central theme, but not exclusive: as last year, the weekend is full of different and varied proposals, giving the audience the opportunity to get to know the instrument, its philology and its performers up close without barriers and prejudices.
