Zoumboulakis Gallery presents the solo exhibition of Georgia Fambris "...And we are magic talking to itself, noisy and alone...".
Paintings and woven works of various dimensions will be presented.

Theofilos Trampoulis -curator of exhibitions and publications- writes about the new section of works presented: "Because in almost all the works of Georgia Fambris colorful, fragmented bodies with manifest and impetuous femininity are collected, condensed into solid volumes, in mentally charged cubist studies from limbs, breasts, from fleeting points of desire and repression? Fambris in her new exhibition entitled "… And we are magic
talking to itself, noisy and alone..." returns to the basic elements of her painting language, such as frontal composition, vertical light, multi-faceted fragmentary episodes structured around a central figure, opening her method to new materials, such as weaving. The title of the exhibition comes from Anne Sexton's poem, "You Doctor Martin" and refers to this dual experience of femininity as magical and lonely
noise, to enjoyment as an existential burden. The psychiatrist Doctor Martin to whom the poem is addressed becomes here, in a playful and often sarcastic way, the viewer's gaze that dissolves and recomposes their bodies and desires".
