In today's era the boundaries between man and the natural environment are becoming more and more indiscernible and the impact of human activity on the environment is undeniable.

Zoumboulaki Gallery presents a selection of works that touch on issues concerning the relationship between nature and human consciousness, and span a wide range of visual media, such as painting, sculpture, photography and video, while presenting different perspectives on current environmental challenges and the new ecosystems that are constantly emerging.

In the "Resilient by Nature" exhibition, 14 artists/artists present works that approach the concept of tolerance, adaptability and the natural landscape in general. Highlighting the ability of living organisms, but also natural processes to redefine, recover and thrive in the face of challenges such as climate change, natural disasters or disturbances and interventions in their natural ecosystems.

The title "Resilient by Nature" stands both literally as a synonym for the process of adapting to new conditions and alternative ways of survival, and metaphorically as a phrase that emphasizes the concept of resistance and natural resilience inherent in human existence. Nature itself functions as a model for the development of mechanisms of adaptability and resilience in the face of challenges and uncertainty.

The exhibition will be framed by a parallel program of two video screenings of the work "Sea Monster II" by Eleni Mylonas, on July 13 and September.
