Compositions based on the sound of Fall and The The, Iggy Pop mouthpieces and an unexpected friendship with Dua Lipa: Hotel Lux come to Athens with a clearly heavy resume
The Post Brexit New Wave thunderously confirmed that Britain is only a short time away and is giving birth to musical currents again, and tied the pulsating scene of South London to its chariot: Shame, HMLTD, Tom Misch, Goat Girl tour the festivals bringing with them new crossovers sounds and crossing genres with ease.
In this London wave, Portsmouth-based Hotel Lux represent indie rock and pub culture filtered through British sarcasm. The combo is completed by ala Mark E. Smith sprechgesang (vocals that in recent years have been duly honored by the independent scene), and a dub idea that colors the band's transition from post punk to adulthood.
On Friday, October 6, Hotel Lux brings London air to Athens, in a "party with lots of Guinness, like a crazier version of American Pie"
