The Heraklion Museum presents the new periodic exhibition entitled "Vermeer Words" by Maria-Smaragda Skurtas, curated by Louisa
Karapidakis, Art Historian and with the collaboration of Katerina Haris, Dr. Child and adolescent psychiatrist.

The exhibition will be hosted on the first floor of the building at 37 Ap. Pavlou Street in Thisio. The opening of the exhibition will take place on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 19:30.

The visual artist Maria Smaragda Skurta will present at the Heraklion Museum, in the Art and Science section, an approach to the work of the great Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer, regarding Art and Psychoanalysis. Easel paintings as well as digital works, installations with video-art and texts, constitute the exhibition.

- Thanasis Hatzopoulos Psychoanalyst member of the Société de Psychanalyse Freudienne (SPF),
- Giorgos Tzirtzilakis, Assistant Professor at the Department of Architects of the University of Thessaly.
- Vassiliki Papakosta, Art Historian, -  Georgios Lignos, Author of Aesthetic texts.

The event will take place at the Hellenic Department of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), 15 Agioi Asomatos, Athens 105 53.
