From the birth of samba in Rio de Janeiro at the beginning of the last century to the Sambodromo and the most famous Carnival in the world, Miranda Verouli in a tribute to the most popular genre of Brazilian music, which moves with its lyrical melodies and arouses with its irresistible his pace. On Monday, May 8 at the Half Note Jazz Club.

Miranda Verouli, jazz singer/songwriter, with a long-standing presence in the Greek jazz & world scene, is considered the Ambassador of Brazilian Music in Greece and was officially honored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil in 2018, in a ceremony held at the Brazilian Embassy in Athens, with the medal of the Knight of the Order of Rio Branco, for her contribution to the spread of Brazilian culture in Greece.

With the project "O Samba", she invites the public on a musical journey to the rhythms of the most representative Brazilian dance, presenting with her elite collaborators, a selection of wonderful samba songs, a tribute to its poets.

The event is held under the auspices of the Brazilian Embassy in Athens, as part of the World Portuguese Language Day 2023 celebrations.
