Since its foundation in 1937, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio France has been recognized as one of the greatest European orchestras, always distinguished for the high quality of its performances and the eclecticism of its repertoire.

The Finnish chief musician Mikko Franck, artistic director of this historic symphony ensemble since 2015, is a rapidly rising "star" of the podium, a worthy successor to all the great conductors who have led the Orchestra in the past.

Franck has already left the mark of his talent on the interpretative approaches of the Philharmonic and he will prove this again, this time before the Athenian audience, to whom he proposes a French and a Russian program with emblematic works of great composers from both countries. He is joined by two prominent figures of the international music scene, the French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet and the Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang in the captivating Ravel and Shostakovich concertos respectively.
