A photo exhibition dedicated to the Women of the 21st century will be hosted at the Enclosure of the National Garden from May 19th until June 30th.

As stated in the curatorial text of the exhibition "the woman of the 21st century does not need to be famous, infamous or simply rich to attract the interest, the public and the photographic gaze. The woman of the 21st century is everywhere. In the traditionally expected position of mother, midwife, wife and sister, on the runways of beauty and the creation of fashion shows and at the same time in roles that only a hundred years ago would not have been characterized as traditional, nor even expected, such as judo, weightlifting, fire brigade, ancient martial arts and street marches to end violence against women. And as always in the mourning of the familiar and in the search for a hope of survival amid the debris of war and ruins of an earthquake".

The exhibition of the photographers of the European Pressphoto Agency, through the eyes of Maria Mann and the curators of Athens Photo World, brings to the heart of Athens a drop from the ocean of photographs that capture the presence of women in all aspects of life and everyday life of the world in the 21st century.
