As in the previous season, on the last weekend of January (27 and 28/1/2024) the two-day Piano Days, the great celebration of the piano, is hosted at Megaro.

At the center of this year's events is Franz Liszt [Franz Liszt] (1811-1896), the great composer, pianist ‒the greatest of his time, if not in the entire history of music‒ and conductor, the "inventor" of the solo recital , as we know it today.

The rich program of Piano Days Megaron gives young and old the opportunity to attend concerts with classical and jazz influences, activities for children as well as recitals by up-and-coming musicians and to get to know the piano, its philology and its performers up close, without tight and prejudices. In addition, for the first time in Greece, the public will have the opportunity to see the Steinway SPIRIO | r, a technological marvel from the world's leading piano manufacturer.

The soloists participating in this year's event (in alphabetical order): Nikolas Anadolis, Dimitris Vassilakis, Stefano Bollani [Stefano Bollani], Dimitris Desyllas (percussion), Manos Kitsikopoulos, Philippos Klapsinakis, Daniel Kolanian, Alexia Mouza, Ferhan and Ferzan Önder ], Marios Panteliadis, Christos Papageorgiou, Anastasios Pappas, Panagiotis Trohopoulos, Theodoros Filippopoulos.

Also, on the first night of the two-day event, the musical performance "Chaplin Pianissimo" will be staged at the Palace, in which Eugene Chaplin, son of the great comedian Charlie Chaplin, tells the story of his father's life, flanked by two distinguished pianists. Also, in the context of Piano Days, the eminent academic Stathis Kalyvas presents the new round of discussions "Rixikeleuthos" on the topic of innovation. The two-day event concludes with the celebratory concert "Lisztomania for piano and orchestra" by the ERT National Symphony Orchestra under the acclaimed conductor Giorgos Ziavras.
