I have long had a desire to recommend and support as much as I can, composers whose songs deserve our attention. The first year I start with four musicians-composers with whom I have had the pleasure of collaborating for some years now in almost all my concerts: Vassilis Drogaris, Heraklis Zakkas, Alexandros Kapsokavadis and Neoklis Neofitidis, whose music is characterized by particular sensitivity and melodiousness.

Stavros Xarchakos proposes and brings to the center of our attention important young Greek composers that he singles out and in whom he recognizes quality and talents that are valuable and necessary to come to light and become widely known.

The beginning is made this year with the four musicians-composers Vassilis Drogaris, Heraklis Zakkas, Alexandros Kapsokavadis and Neoklis Neofitidis.

All four have been musical companions of Stavros Xarhakos for many years with important collaborations, studies, discography and awards and each one is a virtuoso in his field: Neoklis Neofitidis on piano, Alexandros Kapsokavadis on guitar and lute, Heraklis Zakkas on bouzouki and many traditional instruments and Vassilis Drogaris on the accordion.

On Thursdays March 21 and 28 at the ALSOS Theater we will have the opportunity to meet four important musicians - composers, who will present us a specially designed program with favorite and new melodies.
