A staged concert of twenty songs – twenty stations on an empty stage, or a cinematic narrative of an apprentice journeyman, tracing the twenty stops of a march first written out by Wilhelm Müller and Franz Schubert in 1823, indelibly marking both his genre song cycle as well as the Romantic movement in general.

The mezzo-soprano and performer Lenia Zafeiropoulou, under the guidance of choreographer Tasos Karahalios, sings and presents all kinds of objects on stage, making her own microcosms that appear and disappear in places to lead her to her own catharsis.

Focusing on voice, body, elements of nature and light, we follow Müller's romantic hero on his journey. How many symbols and how many dimensions can water, flowers, green leaves, a piece of cloth, two glasses contain? How can Schubert's landscape full of omens, traps and seductions be visually translated, which looks like a board game for four players, where the magical nature of Romanticism always wins in the end

A performance that emerges from the backpack of the wandering hero, like the story that is formed only thanks to his will, his daydreaming and his orgy, creative but also distorting imagination.
