The favorites of the Greek audience Raveonettes are coming on Saturday May 6th to Gagarin for a best of concert!

Most people know them from their much played hit "Love In A Trashcan", a song that deservedly became a big hit and has stood the test of time. But the formidable duo of Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo have much more to show for their 20-year career.

Critically acclaimed as worthy heirs to the Velvet Underground and the Jesus and Mary Chain, they managed to fuse the melodies of classic rock 'n' roll from the '50s and '60s with dark guitar noise and reverb in songs like "Heart Of Stone", "The Great Love Sound", "Recharge & Revolt", "Kill!", "Aly, Walk With Me" and many more. And their collaborations with totemic names such as Ronnie Spector, Martin Rev of Suicide and Moe Tucker of the Velvets are awards along the way.

What is certain is that the Raveonettes are one of the bands that shaped the rock sound of the 00s. Thanks to the wide appeal and success of "Love In A Trashcan", they were one of the bands that led the garage rock revival.

On May 6, the Raveonettes will take to the stage of Gagarin in their first concert in Greece after 6 years.
