About

The National Archaeological Museum, accepting for another year the invitation of the Athens - Attica and Argosaronic Hotel Association, will host part of the modular action "The stones speak" for a period of one month. These are theatrical events by young, talented actors, through which the visitors of the city are attempted to get to know the ancient Greek secretariat in combination with archaeological sites and monuments of world renown.

At the National Archaeological Museum during the month of June 2023, three times a week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), visitors will have the opportunity to watch excerpts from iconic works by Homer, Plato, Aristotle, Sophocles, Aristophanes and Thucydides, through selections that fascinate not only connoisseurs of ancient Greek literature but also those who come into contact for the first time with the wealth of ancient Greek thinkers.

The dramatized reading will take place in three languages (New Greek, English, French), accompanied by "live" music in the Atrium of the Museum and will last two hours: 11.00 – 13.00.

The presentation dates are: 2-4/06, 9-11/06, 16-18/06, 23-24/06 (the action will not take place on Sunday 25/06 due to elections).

The action takes place in collaboration with the Higher Drama School "Delos" of Dimitra Hatoupi, directed by Efi Theodorou, artistic director of DI.PE.THE. of Crete and former deputy director of the National Theater and in music and songs by Nikos Platanos.
