The delightful and always inventive Tiger Lillies who love and are adored by the Greek public, return to Athens and to their beloved Half Note Jazz Club, with their brand new project "Lessons in Nihilism", for 8 shows, 5-8 and 12- January 15th.

The Grammy-nominated and two-time Olivier award-winning British cult cabaret and alternative rock band in its full form, brings new tracks from the upcoming album, along with their many big and well-known hits from the past to the present day.

The Tiger Lillies were formed in 1989 by lead singer and songwriter Martyn Jacques with his signature falsetto voice and the cascade of emotions that always accompanies it. Bassist Adrian Stout joined the band almost 30 years ago while drummer Budi Butenop is the most recent addition to the lineup. In their huge career they have recorded more than 40 records and have appeared on all continents.

The world of Tiger Lillies is always dark and strange, full of dark humor and lyricism but constantly changing, unpredictable and always entertaining. Their music is a fine blend of pre-war Berlin cabaret, anarchist opera and gypsy style, often bringing to mind the sound of Kurt Weil and Jacques Brel. It has moments of deep sadness, subtle but sharp irony and social commentary, but also an enduring indefinable charm.

This unique trio of "Brechtic.. street opera", returns to the themed tours and invites everyone to the 8 performances at the Half Note Jazz Club. From Friday 5th to Monday 8th January and from Friday 12th to Monday 15th January, the legendary Tiger Lillies, in the most mature phase of their career, present in a world premiere the pieces of their new work as well as their great known hits , on the welcoming stage of Half Note, there ..just a breath away!
