At the Cultural Center "Hellenic Cosmos" of the Greater Hellenism Foundation, the original thematic group exhibition titled "Bee, Dressing the Myth" is being inaugurated with the participation of more than sixty distinguished jewelry designers and visual artists.

Unique artefacts of precious or other imaginative matter are presented in an organic dialogue with visual works, conversing about the Bee and her house, her image, form and symbolism.

The exhibition honors the preciousness and multifarious symbolism of the bee, as they are reflected with wonderful plasticity on the faces of the precious and rare artefacts of Greek numismatic art, but also on the precious faces and forms of the jewelry of Minoan and Mycenaean Antiquity, modern antiquity, Byzantine art and Greek folk tradition.

The exhibition is an initiative of the journalist-jewellery researcher Jenis Fragoulis and the curator belongs to the archaeologist-art historian, Irida Kritikou. It is accompanied by parallel activities such as guided tours and educational workshops for adults and children as well as a scientific day.

As part of the exhibition, an album of the same title is planned and will be released, while it is already being planned to transfer it to Greece and abroad.

The Exhibition is under the auspices of the Region of Attica, the Municipality of Athens and the General Secretariat of Hellenism Abroad and Public Diplomacy from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
