Hills & Mountains

Hills & Mountains

If you have ever been in even-level cities, you should have notices that they lack points offering view. This may be the essential difference from the cities with hypsometrical ranges and fortunately Athens belongs to the later.

Within short distance between them and with rumors having them connected underground since ancient times, a line of hills divides the Attica basin into two uneven sections and offer panoramic views of the city that especially during the night are extremely impressive.

It is not accidental that 2,500 years ago, a civilization that was blooming decided to build on one of these hills a place of worship that was going to be one of the most important testimonies to universal architecture.
