"Cosmonaut on Earth" is the title of the new exhibition of the MFFI, which through 117 representative works introduces us to an unknown aspect of the founder of Angelos Goulandris: that of the artist. The retrospective exhibition is presented on the premises of the Museum and will last until February 29, 2024.

Along with his continuous involvement in the promotion of the Museum and its purposes, A. Goulandris systematically created his own works: A total of approximately 2200 paintings, drawings, sculptures and stained glass windows. Works which he saw at the same time as a form of philosophical reflection and an alternative code of communication.

"In Art, the only source of creation parallel to Nature, I look for approaches to rhythms and shapes that have not yet been recorded. It is the space of freedom, organized in its own laws unknown to us. In this space I try to wander" he said Goulandris himself for his relationship with art.

The curation is a collective project of Lampis Theodoropoulos, artistic director of the MFFI, the art historian Giorgos Mylonas and Maria Xanthakos. The exhibition is accompanied by a collection catalog and a parallel program of activities for young and old, while on the occasion a series of visual objects inspired by the works of Angelos Goulandris is released.

The works of the exhibition are available for sale in order to support the work of the Museum.
