American saxophonist Joshua Redman, one of the most prominent and charismatic masters of the international jazz scene, presents his latest album entitled Where Are We.
It is an album of songs that refer to specific places in America, awakening our thinking on the meaning of power and the importance of love, through inventive ballads and improvisations. The Where Are We project, an anthem and at the same time an apt social critique of America, brings together musicians who highlight Redman's vision at its best. In his first collaboration with singer Gabrielle Cavassa, he is joined by pianist Paul Cornish, bassist Philip Norris and drummer Nazir Ebo. The interplay of these exquisite musicians on stage creates an effortless flow of melodies and expressive improvisations.
