THE METRO STATIONS

Great attention was paid by the firm of constructors to the decoration of the Metro stations.

Greek artists were asked to create work that would refer to Metro directly or indirectly and to the urban life in general. Additionally, part of the archaeological finds that the excavation machines met during the construction of the project are exhibited at some of the stations.

It would be unfair, after all, no showing in some way the products of the biggest single archaeological excavation that has ever taken place in Greece, which lasted four years and covered an area of about 75.000 square meters.
