Alexandra Doré's solo exhibition entitled "Deceptive Realities" is presented at the Allouche Benias gallery.

Alexandra Doré (b. 1989, Tirana, Albania) is an artist living and working in Athens. Doré's artistic journey began in her youth, where she discovered the transformative nature of collage. Having spent a decade in New York, she absorbed the energy and inspiration of the metropolis, which continues to enrich her work powerfully. Now working with the digital form of collage, Doré incorporates logos onto images in order to modify their original meaning. The result is new images that challenge viewers' perception of reality.

Drawing inspiration from the works of Andy Warhol and Sigmar Polke, Doré's technique combines digital printing and screen printing on canvases to create provocative compositions that examine the contradictions and illusions they entail. Her work carries a characteristic sarcasm, evoking a sense of irony that exposes the hypocrisy of our consumer society. Through her work, Doré confronts viewers with an unpleasant truth: the line between genuine and fake is often blurred in the modern age.
