The series of "Symphonic evenings" of the Athens Philharmonia Orchestra at the "Ioannis Despotopoulos" Amphitheater continues with great success.

The concert takes place on Sunday, April 2, and includes contemporary creations as well as compositions from the historical past of Greek art music. The Artistic Director of the Philharmonia, a distinguished and internationally renowned chief musician, Byron Fidetzis, will take to the podium, who will present an extremely interesting program with rare compositions by Greek composers.

The works of the concert will be recorded in the orchestra's studio and will be published on the Philharmonia's radio disc series, which already has three discs and is preparing another five.

At the center of the program is the "Concerto Grosso" for violin, viola and string orchestra by the contemporary Greek composer and Director of the Music Schools of the Athens Conservatory, Philippos Tsalachouris, which is being performed for the first time worldwide. The role of soloists is taken by the distinguished members of the Philharmonia, Konstantinos Loustas, violin, and Antonis Manias, viola.
