New decade, new chapter! The Athens Science Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary and, with the central slogan "Tales of Change", invites visitors to celebrate with it and start together a new, exciting chapter in its multifaceted history.

Remaining eternally faithful to its mission of connecting science with everyday life, the Athens Science Festival 2024, with the support of COSMOTE as a major sponsor, will take place from April 16 to 21 at the Athens Municipality Technopolis. Through the "Stories of Change" it has collected, stories that connect and inspire, this year's festival brings into focus the most critical challenges of our time.

How can artificial intelligence contribute to tackling the climate crisis? How sustainable is modern industry? What are the real threats posed by climate change and how can we respond as a global society? In what ways are technological developments affecting health, disease prevention and treatment? Is there a limit to the use of technology for the benefit of humanity?

In an ever-changing world, where developments are "novelly" stormy, at Athens Science Festival 2024 visitors will discover real "Change Stories" through the exciting new narratives of science, technology and innovation, which shape our present with a view to the future.

Interactive exhibits and impressive experiments (small spoiler: Ray, holder of the Guinness Record, will create the largest bubble ever made in Athens), workshops for children and workshops for adults, lectures and experiential activities... A rich and diverse program composes the experiences of a grand six-day celebration, with distinguished and distinguished storytellers who will captivate visitors with their "Stories of Change" in a unique narrative of knowledge and entertainment.

Also, the largest globe in Greece will be from April 16 to 21 at the Athens Science Festival. The 10m diameter inflatable model of the Earth was designed and built by the creative studio Visualové for the Brno Observatory and Planetarium. The companies collaborated for the 1st time in 2019 on a model of the Moon created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing on July 20, 1969. The hosting of the Earth model at the Athens Science Festival 2024 is an initiative of the Czech Athens Center which is held with the support of National Geographic.

Among the top keynote speakers of the Athens Science Festival 2024 will be:
Dr Jill Tiefenthaler, CEO of the National Geographic Society and Head of a global community of explorers and scientists from various fields, who strive to protect and "illuminate" the miraculous and mysterious narrative of our planet.

Dr Lars Rasmussen, Co-Founder of Google Maps and former Director of Engineering at Facebook, among many other attributes. He is one of the most active angel investors, who contributes to the global technological narrative as a digital nomad who lives and works in Greece.
