Calle Vapor is an Afro-Latin music band founded in 2006 in Córdoba, Argentina under the creative direction of Fabricio Boretto and Emiliano Peirone.
Since its inception, Calle Vapor has been firmly committed to performing the quintessential Afro-Latin rhythms, including genres such as Son, Bolero, Guaracha, Cha-cha-cha, Guajira, and even Timba.
Their sound can best be described as a modern and original version of all these rhythms. The band plays their own compositions as well as classic Afro-Latin pieces. But instead of just covering classic tracks, Calle Vapor manage to rearrange the arrangements in a way that gives the songs new energy, and even though they're familiar, they sound completely different from the originals. This creates a sound unique to the band, fresh and recognizable.
Although huge hits in the past, songs like "Que manera de quererte", "Azuquita pa'l cafe", "Idilio" and many more became extremely popular again with the taste of Calle Vapor.
