3 feminist punks with a good dose of pop aesthetics, who claim an egalitarian society, free of gender discrimination, are coming to Athens for the first time in March, now that they are happening.

The story of Dream Wife begins in 2014, when Rakel Mjöll (lead vocals), Alice Go (guitar, vocals) and the non-binary Bella Podpadec (bass, vocals) create a fake band, for the concept of an art project in University of Brighton.

Immediately after graduating they move to London and 2 years later they release their first self-titled album – 11 tracks that combine clever, powerful garage-punk riffs and dance pop and automatically place them in the category of riot grrrl bands, given their feminist id .

2018 is proving to be their year. NME rates the album five stars, covers them and declares that we've been waiting a long time for a band like this to appear, they're featured on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6Music's Playlist, garnering plenty of positive reviews (The Guardian, TheFader, Dazed, Nylon), Rolling Stone listed them as one of the 13 best acts it saw at Lollapalooza that year, and they appear on the soundtracks of "Orange Is The New Black" and "Trinkets". Within a few months they are touring Europe, America and Australia and opening the concerts of The Kills, Sunflower Bean and Garbage, while before the end of the year they return to America, this time as headliners. And now they are backed by Alex Paveley on drums. Not bad for a first album.
