Iconic choreographer Jerome Bell's Isadora Duncan, created for and in collaboration with Elisabeth Schwartz, focuses on the figure of Isidore Duncan, continuing the series of dancer portraits the choreographer began in 2004. Bell takes the stage himself with a of the most important students of the Isadorables and discovers beneath the romantic figure a visionary choreographer by investigating the heritage and myths that accompany it.

Unlike the previous works in this series (Véronique Doisneau, Cédric Andrieux and Pichet Klunchun and myself), where Bell converses with the artists, here he creates the portrait of a dancer who is no longer alive based on her autobiography. Considered the "mother" of modern and contemporary dance, Duncan has significant ties to Greece, which she first visited in 1903 (so 2023 also marks her 120th anniversary).

July 11 & 12 In conjunction with the Isadora Duncan performance and in collaboration with the I. & R. Duncan Center for the Study of Dance, a two-day seminar is organized with the iconic dancer Elisabeth Schwarz and a discussion with the participation of Jérôme Bel, Elisabeth Schwarz and Mentis Mega .

11 July 2023, 11.00-17.00. The seminar is strictly aimed at dance professionals and final students of professional dance schools.

12 July 2023, 11.00-14.00. The seminar is addressed to amateurs and dance professionals.
