For every lover of Bach's music, but also of music in general, the Matthew Passion is a "sacred" work, a supreme expression of man's journey towards the divine, a deposit of soul and spirit in their purest, most sincere and profound dimension. This time the Matthew Passion is presented in a semi-staged version, with the element of movement adding another dimension to the reception of the work, making its insurmountable musical meanings more tangible, more dramatic and more timely.
