The State Orchestra of Athens, from the 2021-2022 artistic season, is very happy to include in its educational and social work the "Permanent Chamber Music Seminar", an initiative of the cellist Angelos Liakakis and the pianist Titos Gouvelis.

The two artists, members of the Orchestra, are known not only for their solo artistic activity, but also for their many years of stable collaboration in the field of chamber music. Considering it their duty to pass on their knowledge and experience to the younger generation, they have been organizing for the last six years the "Permanent Chamber Music Seminar", with the aim of introducing young students and professional musicians to the special challenges of the chamber music repertoire. The main subject of the seminar is chamber music ensembles, in which strings and piano coexist. In order to achieve the maximum possible deepening of the students in the relevant repertoire, the seminar extends over several months, during which the teachers monitor the development of the students' work at regular intervals. The response of young musicians to the Seminar so far has been impressively warm and demonstrates its necessity and value.
