2023 has been declared by UNESCO the Year of Maria Callas. As part of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the birth of the leading treble of the 20th century, the Hellenic Maria Callas Association is organizing a concert with the internationally renowned tenor Roberto Alagna and the famous soprano Aleksandra Kurzak.

The popular artists will join their voices in a program of arias and duets from popular operas marked by the voice of Maria Callas with its distinctive intensity and vocal richness, under the direction of conductor Naiden Todorov, director of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra. All the proceeds of the event will be allocated to the creation of the "Maria Callas" Museum under construction, which will be dedicated to the iconic diva. The Athens Municipality Symphony Orchestra will cooperate with the artists.
