About

A contemporary opera about the "fractured ecosystem of postmodern cities", as seen by its creators. Increasingly reminiscent of a reflection on a switched-off high-definition screen, the interior of modern apartments hosts a mysterious coexistence of human and artificial intelligence. All the goods are delivered to the house, the relationships are woven and burst inside, the fantasies sound like a ringtone.

Conversing with Edgar Allan Poe's archetypal short story "The Fall of the House of Asher" where house and occupants merge into a closed circuit, the work traces the sounds produced by life inside and outside the walls of today's most common apartment. The self-referential universe of the couple that inhabits it exudes a spectral balance. The anthropomorphic supervisor, Erica_7, is in charge, always available to rewrite the house's memory and provide solutions to the cohabitation crossword puzzle.

The dramaturgical conversation with Poe is used for the contrast of "high" and kitsch, but also for the functional combination of musical idioms from the archive of classical melodrama to the polystylistic assemblages of postmodern music. The musical composition draws from a wide range of genres focusing on the new hybrid directions of vocal music in the 21st century.
