Athens International Film Festival

Athens International Film Festival was organized for the first time in September 1995 and has since continued its success. It was founded by the Cinema Society of Athens in order to give the audience the opportunity to get acquainted with films of independent American, European and world cinema.

Over the course of the festival, which attracts over 60,000 spectators, besides film screenings it carried out various activities such as concerts, parties, exhibitions as well as street art. In addition, the festival also includes several guests who give press conferences and educational programs. Great names from the cinema area present, such as the famous actress and activist Vanessa Redgrave. This is why the festival is one of the best in Europe.

Athens International Film Festival all these years of its action strives for a single purpose that has to do with the support of the cinema and the effort of attracting more and more audiences into the world of the seventh art. It is worth keeping in the passage of time but also to gain more and more power.
