The acclaimed violinist and conductor who closes his concerts with Zorba, is coming to Greece for the first time! On March 12 and 13 at 20:00 at the Indoor Basketball Court of O.A.K.A.
André Rieu is a famous Dutch violinist, conductor and composer born on October 1, 1949 in Maastricht, Netherlands. Often referred to as the "King of the Waltz", Rieu is renowned for his charismatic and innovative approach to classical music. He is the founder and conductor of the Johann Strauss Orchestra, a large ensemble specializing in the performance of waltzes and other light classical music.
André Rieu has won international recognition for his captivating performances, which combine classical masterpieces with a dynamic and accessible presentation. His concerts are known for their festive atmosphere, attracting diverse audiences around the world. Rieu's contribution to the classical music scene not only earned him widespread popularity, but also rekindled interest in orchestral performances, making classical music more accessible to a wider audience.
