The Square, the outdoor space between Areas A - B - E - H of Piraeus 260, will come alive again this year from the very successful mini-festival "Jazz in the Square" that was inaugurated last year accompanying the festival evenings.

Four separate jazz groups, under the artistic supervision of the distinguished saxophonist Dimitris Tsakas, set up after the end of the performances, a jazz celebration with free entry for all and sundry, in a program that will extend throughout the Piraeus 260 program , from June to July 20.

Schemes involved:
7 - 9 June | Adedeji Adetayo Sextet:
Nigerian Adedeji Adetayo, singer, guitarist and composer, brings the vibrancy of African music to 260 Piraeus Square. Three nights with afrobeat, afro jazz and afro soul & funk, music from his personal albums and special guests.

July 3 - 5 | Spyros Panagiotopoulos Quintet (BFAM):
After the release of the group's album entitled Happy Hour, drummer Spyros Panagiotopoulos and his quintet will present compositions by the group's members who are active in the jazz field.

July 9 - 11 | Terry Vakirtzoglou Quartet:
The singer Teri Vakirtzoglou presents her new project as part of "Jazz in the Square". It is about a group of excellent musicians, each with their own path in the Greek jazz scene, meeting for the first time all together. The program will include Teri's old and new compositions from her first album Qualia as well as from her soon to be released second album entitled Permathea, as well as arrangements of favorite jazz songs.

July 17 - 19 | Apostolos Leventopoulos Trio feat. Vasilis Xenopoulos:
The compositions of Apostolos Leventopoulos combine the traditional jazz language with more modern synthetic and improvisational approaches, and the lyricism of the guitar with the explosive sound of the organ trio.

July 20 | Concert – party | Crazy People Music:
Musicians such as Antonis Andreou, Alexandros Drakos Ktistakis, Dimitris Tsakas, Adedeji Adetayo, Kostas Christodoulou, Dimitris Sevdalis and Giorgos Georgiadis are meeting for a unique concert-party for the completion of the Piraeus 260 program.
