Skoufa Gallery presents the painting exhibition of Katerina Serafetinidou entitled "A light you don't forget".

More than 30 works of medium and large dimensions, acrylic on canvas and mixed media, from the period 2008-2023, reveal Serafetinidou's mysterious landscape approaches.

And as she states "My works work both as visual
confessions as much as an open invitation for the viewer to participate with their own thoughts and interpretations. I use a wide range of materials, such as sand, dry pastel powder and newspaper collage, to create intricate textures that reflect the complexity and emotional depth of life... For the past fifteen years, I have been working intensively in my studios in Athens and Hydra, revealing my visionary world".

And as the art critic and theorist Takis Mavrotas points out, among others: "These are unexpected landscapes, which go beyond the given limits of space and time. Landscapes, sometimes brown and sometimes gray, at the time when the sun goes down and the wind has fallen. Landscapes where the mist blurs our vision and the feeling of wetness reminds us of the end of the rain. Serafetinidou is a tracer of landscapes. She paints with a sense of sobriety and harmony. She is indifferent to lyrical detail and sinks her gaze into the earth and in the sky, touching the unexpected beauty of nature. At the same time, from a distance, he gazes at the modern megacities, which he renders with a critical mood and poetic writing [...]."
