Made of Stone Productions presents Perkele Live in Greece.
Perkele in Finnish mythology was the god of lightning, while in the later years of Christian dominance, he was identified with Satan. Today, the word "perkele" is used as a swear word while for 3 decades it has been synonymous with the greatest cross-genre punk-rock band Scandinavia has produced.
Perkele formed in 1993 in Gothenburg and since then they have been recognized as one of the biggest names in punk rock music, touring relentlessly with participations as headliners in the biggest European festivals of the genre and beyond, while they are probably the band outside the metal scene with the most metalheads fans.
Their sound is completely recognizable. Addictive punk-rock full of rousing singalongs but also heavy-metal passages and riffs, with influences from Oi!, ska, Swedish folk, and of course 70s British punk, while with their lyrics they send messages against racism, the arms industry, capitalism , the war etc. while keeping a clear position against drugs.
