Conway is one of the most sought-after rappers in recent years, dominating the global rap scene with his unique style. His every new release is news to the Hip Hop world and he along with Westside Gunn and Benny The Butcher have influenced the scene so deeply and indelibly that no one now clearly speaks of a "Griselda" sound whenever his current sound is mentioned grimy, underground hardcore Hip Hop.
Based in Buffalo, New York, Conway began recording music at the age of 15. He spent his 20s in and out of prison, during which time and as part of this lifestyle he was shot in the head in 2012. Narrowly escaping death, the shot left part of his face permanently paralyzed, thus forming his distinctive and unique of flow and delivery. After the incident he decided to turn his attention to music and together with his brother, Westside Gunn, founded Griselda Records, which was quickly joined by their cousin Benny The Butcher, creating what would soon become his biggest powerhouse Hip Hop for the next decade (and still counting...).
