French-based Israeli choreographer Emmanuel Gat brings to Piraeus 260 a celebration of vitality and euphoria. Bodies coming together and moving away, dynamic group choreography, duets and solos unfold over unforgettable hits by Tears for Fears, the British new wave band, recalling the synth-pop utopian atmosphere of the 1980s.

The costumes, designed by Thomas Bradley, a dancer in the group, with their volume and theatricality perfectly serve and highlight Gatt's writing, while the chiaroscuro lighting, curated by the choreographer himself, enhances the baroque, bright, exuberant atmosphere of performance.

LOVETRAIN2020 is a work, as its choreographer says, about utopia; the impossible, ideal non-place where conflict-free coexistence can become a reality. Utopia in Gatt's works is not presented as an idea but is realized in the way the choreography is created. Through long-term collaboration with the dancers in his troupe, Gatt has developed a framework for artistic exploration of human interactions and human experience. In this sphere of human experience lies the core of his approach to what happens in the here and now and how all this is transformed into choreography. A daily practice that strives to achieve utopia, a utopia that is by no means unachievable (and probably even if it can be tested in the studio, has no place) in the real world.
