About

The well-known visual artist Epi Nikolakopoulou presents her solo exhibition, "Inner Triumph" at the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation.

Visual artist Epi Nikolakopoulou notes:
"Someday very close to today, I felt the need to 'watch' the path that the thousands of thoughts cause in my brain and the effects they create, Introversion & Extroversion.
Undoubtedly, when I paint I distance myself and follow inner paths, difficult to understand even for me.
As a person I am lonely, like most artists, but in my own way, I really love life and what I believe it has to offer.
Light, color and shape, but also the lack of them, is an exciting experience."

The Historian - Archivist, Head of the Historical Archive-Museum of Hydra, Senior Head of the Argosaronic Archives, Dina Adamopoulou notes, among other things, about the art and the exhibition:
"When the moment arrives to meet in the same space with an excellent artist-creator, this moment is magical, I would say dreamlike.
Epi Nikolakopoulou has a unique ability to deposit her own personal style in her works, several times through pop art creations, but always with her own, particularly sensitive, stamp.
Her compositions are indeed transformed into a visual - literally - celebration, an admirable "triumph" of designs and colors.
The visual dialogue created by Epi Nikolakopoulou's works is extraordinary and lasting and is sure to spread everywhere with a universal visual language of excitement."

To understand the significant writing of the visual art, one can read excerpts from the review written by the curator of the National Gallery, Dr. Georgia Kakourou Time:
"Epi Nikolakopoulou's visual writing is recognizable, because it maintains its unique personal character.
The artist seems to stick to her thematic and expressive choices, achieving their renewal at the same time.
Her art lends itself to multiple readings.
In the first place, whether it is paintings or sculptural installations that form environments, her works communicate subcutaneously with tradition.
In her work, foreign artistic currents are also assimilated, from pop-art to the ready-made, as well as personalized conversations.
Her materials, silicone and plastics, and the way she handles them give the feeling of a constant vortex, which someone at the same time forces them to be silent or at least to follow predetermined trajectories.
The work of Epi Nikolakopoulou still remains open to an emotional, meaningful reading, posing questions, proposing and provoking answers."

A few words about the visual epic Nikolakopoulou:
She is a painter and sculptor, born in Athens and originally from Hydra and Ireland.
He has already presented individual exhibitions and has participated in important group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
Her works adorn museums, state buildings and private collections.
With modern materials, plexiglass, plastics, silicone, optical fibers, electric cables and led lighting, he creates works with a strong, idiosyncratic personal style.
Her social contribution is intense and her interests are multiple, both in politics and culture.
She is known for her active participation in associations with a strong social contribution, such as the "Elpida" association of friends of children with cancer, the "Panathenaiki" panhellenic women's organization, MEDASSET (founding member), the Mediterranean association for the saving of sea turtles, the Greek Chilianos Link, to the "Fermeli" club that preserves the history of the Evzoni costume and to many other clubs.
