Gilberto Gil needs no introduction. His voice and songs have been uniquely identified with the Brazilian soul and still captivate us.

As a musician he pioneered the Tropicália music movement, which defined the new Brazilian sound by creatively fusing traditional music with elements of bossa nova, rock and roll and reggae and reconnecting Brazilian music with its African roots. As a politician he has been a tireless defender of democracy and an ambassador of musical diversity.

As part of the "Aquele Abraço Tour" for the 60 years of his career, Gil returns to Herodion, in a farewell concert that will move us deeply.

He is joined on stage by a host of musicians from his extended family, to present us with songs from Gils' entire illustrious musical career.
