With a special audio-visual experience that will take every guest on a fascinating journey through time, the Hotel Megali Bretagne, a member of the Luxury Collection, is launching in the most spectacular way, the Always Grand celebrations for its 150th anniversary of uninterrupted operation.

From Sunday, February 11, until Sunday, February 18, the pioneering exhibition "A Journey in Time: The Immersive Experience" "lands" in the hotel's legendary Grand Ballroom, the center of Athens' social life for a century and a half. Through an interactive visitor-centered spectacle that combines images, sounds and narratives, the exhibition travels through the history of Great Britain.

Creating an imaginative and multi-dimensional environment using projection mapping on multiple surfaces, it begins by turning back the clock 150 years. Starting in 1874, the year of the hotel's foundation, and through rare documents and special period headlines, the impressive course of Great Britain until today is revealed step by step, alongside pivotal moments in the country's historical development:
From the hotel's leading position in the revival of the Olympic Games in 1896, its dynamic contribution to the development of the hospitality industry in the country, its crucial relationship with the events of the Second World War, the formation of the Government of National Unity on the 5th floor in 1974, the famous proms and many other milestone moments for the political, social and urban life of the country, the exhibition "A journey through time: The Immersive Experience" tells everything that makes Great Britain, the flagship of Greek hospitality, but and a symbol of the country's urban life.

The exhibition is being held as part of the hotel's annual 150th anniversary celebrations, entitled "150 Years of Great Britain: Always Grand". Screenings will be held daily in Greek and English.

Monday - Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. last show
and on Sundays from 11:00 until 15:00 last screening
