The internationally sought-after ambassadors of contemporary musical creation, Les Percussions de Strasbourg, present a specially designed program for the European Capital of Culture and the Aeschylus Festival, with works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Iannis Xenakis, Michaël Levinas and Tōru Takemitsu.
The Strasbourg Percussion was founded in 1962 and has been honored with more than 30 international awards. Among the 400 works that have been written specifically for this musical ensemble are Persefassa and the Pleiades dedicated to them by Iannis Xenakis himself.
