"I had the good fortune to meet early on a special visual personality, an authentic, original and genuine creator who managed to fruitfully and timely assimilate the aesthetic currents of her time and transform them with quality and sensitivity into a personal artistic vision.
After all, it is no coincidence that Lydia Sarri vividly conveys her love for life and people, her adoration for nature and her sincere admiration for the treasures of our popular tradition in her multifaceted and multifaceted work.
With austerity in her visual performance and deliberate simplification of the unnecessary form, she recalls to our memory eternal suggestive signs and traces, timeless symbols of the charming immediacy and rare honesty in her painting and literary writing, where her personal-autobiographical texts with constant references to her precious and eternal companion Fotis, demonstrate the wider reflection and metaphysical searches
of a restless and free spirit.
A modest and kind nature, Lydia Sarri stubbornly maintained in her long and fruitful artistic journey the use of the multiple materials and techniques of painting, prominent plastic, mosaic painting and unique paper compositions and highlighted with a solid structure and color feast the special stamp of of her own unfathomable world.
