DL Gallery presents on Friday, October 20, 2023 the solo exhibition of Nikos Samaras entitled "esotopes".

It is a complex project with installation, video projections, audio document, but also painting on a crate and aluminum surface.

In the first version of the Isotopes of December 1996 in the Municipal Gallery of Larissa - G.I. Katsigra Museum, Athena Schina, an art historian who also curated the exhibition, in a critical note in the art magazine ARTI in issue 34 states, among other things:
" The artist, on the occasion of the completion of ten years since the tragic radioactive accident in Chernobyl, elaborated his idea on many levels, presenting it with the section of works of "Isotopes". Through the correspondence of phrasal, conceptual, symbolic and metaphorical forms, Nikos Samaras created (with mixed materials and technique) a series of washbasins.
The basins, with their nodal elemental features, with oncoplastic parts, with painting and neon tubes, were accompanied by paintings with edited photographs of documents, illustrations, imprints of inscriptions and expressive gestural creations. All the works had a perfectly thought-out structure in the space, with coherence and obvious balance. Balance between positions and meanings, symbols and allegories, documents of the event, associations and associations they evoked, the "history" of drama, the "prehistory" of reductions and myths, the "metahistory" of displacement of the meanings and dangers of a leading technology mistake [...]"
