Car sales grew 5.6% in May totaling 22,877 vehicles (new or used ones), from 21,665 in the corresponding month last year, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Tuesday.

Car sales grew 5.6% in May totaling 22,877 vehicles (new or used ones), from 21,665 in the corresponding month last year, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Tuesday.
New car sales totaled 13,820 in May, up 7.7% from May 2022. In the five-month period from January to May, car sales totaled 89,885, up 13.8% from the same period last year, with new car sales rising 29.5% to 61,685 vehicles from 47,633 in 2022.
Motorcycle sales totaled 8,251 in May, up 5.6% from the same month last year, with new motorcycle sales up 8.2% to 7,853. In the January-May period, motorcycle sales totaled 26,790, up 14.8% from last year, with new motorcycle sales rising 14.8% to 25,289.
